As you can tell, i haven't gotten the buttons out of my system yet. I photographed a whole mess of these kitschy little button rings I've been constructing, and some of the photos came out really swell. Like, you might not even think they were plastic or something kinda swell. I can tell my photography skillz are getting better because less and less I end up having to rely on photoshop to fix what's wrong with my pics.
Like this one. This one is pretty much delicious.

It's really tricky to get the sparkles in the rhinestone to look...err, sparkly. Sparklesome. Sparklelicious? Especially when the thing you're taking a picture of is less than an inch in diameter. Yipes.
So I'll be loading these up onto the Etsy throughout the day, as an experiment in drawing attention to my shop. I usually dump a load of stuff on all at once in the name of efficiency, but i know that the front page reloads it's freshly added items feature every fifteen minutes. So I'm going to space things out and see if more people are drawn in. Not that it matters, i'm just curious and i like poking at stuff. After all, if one actually had to rely on Etsy to pay the bills, one would pretty much be screwed.
Oh, I almost forgot! In the meantime, you can check out the rest of what I made here on my flickr.

Second one down on the left? I'm thinking maybe I must have that. These are wonderful.
@AudioSnob - oooh, that one is really classy. it's a teal freshwater pearl and a vintage flower with a sea green shell button on back.
It's absolutely gorgeous. They all are, really. When I have some extra income, I'll be making a purchase or two (most likely more) from you, definitely.
A question: Would you consider doing commissions? I have in mind maybe a drawing of Norah to frame and put on the wall in what will become her bedroom.
@AudioSnob - I sure do. Both of your girls are so adorable, it would be a pleasure to draw either of them. : ) you just lemme know when!
LOVERLY. (Don't you hate ALL caps?) But I had to do all caps so you'd get the level of my enthusiasm.
Also: I love the idea of your version of the screaming FP baby in crown. Whatchu think?
I too enjoy the second one down on the left. I enjoy a good sparkle every now and again.
@princess_smartypants - I think i could manage to pull that off : )
Have you sold a lot of rings? For the older crowd, you might consider napkin rings.
I love what you've been doing.
ooooh pretties, I think these will do well. the colors are great.
Girl, you just gave me another child! I only have one, and for right now, she is enough. Especially after today.
The rings are lovely. The designs stand by themselves and would look nice on a set of notecards as well.
@AudioSnob - ah, whoops. how did i manage that? I am perhaps confuzzled.
