  • Stoopid DNC

Everyone here in Boston has their knickers in a swivet over the
Democratic National Convention this week.  Half the citizens have
abandoned ship for the berkshires or new hampshire, and the rest of us
have battened the hatches. Our major highways have been blocked off, so
all thoughts of spending weekends on the north shore- let alone brief
shortcuts over memorial drive- have been completely kaiboshed. I
overhear people talking about whether they have spotted any
"Delegates", as if they are some kind of crazy aliens which are
distinguishable from ordinary Bostonians. Businesses have shut down,
taken vacay, or are simply not answering the phones; should you need a
taxi, or a plumber, forget about it until post-DNC. And we even have a special spot for protesters, outside of the FleetCenter.

  • *snort*   delegates as rock stars.  I'd rather see a capybara.

Sounds like Bahstin is in for a bit of a blow this week.  A real Nor'easter.

It would seem that some zones are free-er for speech than others.  What are the other areas called?  stfu zones?

  • as unpleasant as it sounds.. at least you're not living around the corner from the RNC in NYC. Ugh.
