I am eating a leftover chicken sandwich.
Last night I made dinner. I am very proud of myself about this, because it was just the sort of dreary day to have a homecooked meal, and once in a while I like to pretend i’m domesticated. Kudos to my gran for teaching me to cook, and Bryon was deliciously happy to be well-fed. Audrey got some carrots, too.
Mmm, love and good food, and flowers on the table.
-Mashed turnip and carrot with butter
-Pan roasted red bliss potatoes
-Baked chicken with a garlic/onion/rosemary crust
-pumpkin pie
This is important because sometimes I feel like I ought to justify my homemaker abilities, since most of my grownup life I’ve been teased about my culinary ineptitude. but HA! It turns out I have mad skills. Take that, Mom, who never let me touch the stove, and Nick, who says I don’t know how to chop vegetables. BAHAHA! And jut because I’m teeny doesn’t mean I don’t know how to cook. I have a huge appetite. So when I am running the best restaurant in the country you’ll all come crying to me for my apple pie. Or not, and I’ll just keep myself happy feeding the people i love, at dinner every night. Good food works wonders.

yay for comfort food, especially the good high end stuff (as opposed to the quick and easy stuff)
