  I went to the model cave today. Or rather, the dungeon of architectural insanity at 1/8″ inch scale. It was much less dank and dark and dilapidated than i expected. There were dinosaurs and a rickety staircase, but no spiders and no manacles bolted to the wall, where poor souls hang for hours wailing the evils of postmodernism and poor design. I think Bry was making horrible stuff up so i would buy him treats. Which i did anyway.

  “Where should we begin?” I asked nobody in particular.

  
  

  “How the hell am i supposed to know?!” snarled the Oxymephorous, feeling grouchy because he had been woken from a nap. “Why don’t you just get out a map and pick someplace??”

  “Perhaps we ought to have dinner before we go,” i ventured, peering at the map, “It’s no fun going on an Adventure and getting lost as well as hungry.”

  
  

  “Gimme that cookie!” yeowled the Oxy.

  
  

  “You’ll spoil your appetite!” I yeowled back.
